Austin Outdoor Studio, llc is a welding and fabrication shop that caters towards modern design for residential and commercial applications. We have made a name for ourselves building steel planters and installing steel landscaping, however we can do so much more. We are a full service shop that can tackle just about anything you can throw at us. We use the latest in fabrication methods to build our projects. We utilize 3d design software to bring life to the project before any metal has been cut or welded. We also own and operate a 5′x8′ CNC plasma table allowing us to create almost anything we can draw or scan on the computer. We are a shop that employs craftsmen who love what they do and still believe in doing quality work.
A little about our craftsmen:
Jonathan Duke, Owner and Janitor 
The Fab Shop was founded by Jonathan Duke who has a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Texas A&M, has been welding since he was 16, has restored a number of old school muscle cars and hot rods, and generally just loves getting his hands dirty. He has experience as a home builder here in Austin and has renovated a couple of modern homes. Jonathan has a working background in manufacturing engineering and construction.
Will Larson, Manager CNC Plasma Services, Designer, Fabricator
Will was born and raised in Austin, Texas in a family of artists. His formal art education began at the San Antonio Art Institute in 1988. He obtained his degree in Fine Arts from the Kansas City Art Institute, and later finished his graduate studies in Braunschweig, Germany. He ran his own business, Willywerks for over ten years and has recently joined AOS. His creative back ground and fabrication experience in all mediums brings a wealth of knowledge to our shop. Will runs the CNC plasma side of the business, assists in design and generally helps out where ever he can.
Cliff McDonald, Welder and Fabricator, Shop Foreman
Cliff stepped into this shop and made a huge difference from day one. Aside from being an exceptional welder and fabricator, he always has a wonderful attitude. He is a walking encyclopedia about welding and truly loves what he does every day.
